Alex: Yo Mike, thanks for booking sleepmakeswaves on some Bird's Robe shows. Hey, I saw you're starting a record label! We just made a new album. Can you release it for us?

Mike: Interesting - send it over.

Alex: Okay, cool man.

About 12 months after that conversation we were off together, and visiting places around the world with ASWDE as a calling card.

Thank you to Otto, Kid, Will, Dax, Mike & Alex T and James for making ASWDE what it is. Maybe the real post-rock crescendos are the friends we made along the way.

I still find lots of things to love and be proud of in that record. I'm honestly blown away that it's still getting spun ~15 years down the track.

After the rousing response to our cat shirt , we wanted to balance the scales, so here is our new dog shirt. it stars Jessica, the sweetest angel rescued from the track, who loved kick-ons and listening to me play weird instrumental guitar music.She passed away last November and I miss her a lot.
